The Best Sprays For Bed Bug Problems

Waking up to, red itchy bed bug bites can be absolutely traumatizing. Finding and eliminating these pesky insects can be a hassle as well. It can become an extremely tedious task, researching the best way to get those critters out of your home and more importantly out of your bed.

Bed bugs are nocturnal creatures meaning that they typically only come out at night. These blood-sucking insects enjoy warm dark spaces, which is why they are so attracted to beds. These bugs are usually spotted underneath your mattress or even in the cushions between other pieces of furniture (i.e. sofa, love seat). Due to the fact that they are so tiny and are able to maneuver to the smallest cracks and crevices of your house it is important to get rid of them properly. The most important step in beginning your elimination is using the right products.

Why Spray is Effective

There are many insect control products out on the market today but not all of them are effective. It can be quite overwhelming in a store that has products ranging from bug bait to bed bug traps, as possible eradication methods. However, there is one controller that is simple and easy to use and will definitely get the job done --- spray.

Bed bug spray is extremely effective in exterminating the bugs from your home. They come in two different forms-pesticide bug spray or natural non-toxic sprays for bed bugs. Each of these has their pros and cons but both are just as effective as the next. The great thing about spray is you have the ability to kill on contact. Just by spraying an infected area, you can kill the bed bugs as well as their eggs. This ensures that you completely eradicate these critters from your home by killing their offspring as well not just the adult bugs.

Resistance

Unfortunately, these insects have been around since the 1940's. During this time, they were almost completely exterminated but a few were able to survive off of other warm-blooded mammals where they grew and mutated to become more resistant to the many pesticides designed to kill them. It is important as you are doing your research on bed bug sprays or other bed bug controllers to keep this fact in mind so that you find products that use more updated chemical formulas that are proven effective against bed bugs. Not only are there pesticide solutions, but there are also some natural alternatives that can get past the resistance to pesticides that have developed. One such product is diatomaceous earth, which works by damaging and dehydrating the bugs. It is completely non-toxic and can be a useful tool in the fight against any insects.
